Born in 1990 for the 1992's Olympics, La Tania is set in the heart of a forest of spruces, overhanging the Tarentaise valley.

Located halfway between Courchevel and Meribel, La Tania is a human-scale resort, made up of chalets, residences and hotels, all clad in wood. Our residence “Le Grand Bois” blends perfectly in this traditional and environmentally-friendly style, designed by renowned architect Jacques Labro. The resort has even been labeled "Station verte" (green resort). La Tania is a very family-friendly resort with a completely pedestrianized town center which allows you to walk around serenely with children.

What would a ski resort be without a ski area?

La Tania's ski area offers several blue and green runs and is thus ideal for beginners. Don't worry if you are a confirmed skier, La Tania is the gateway to the largest ski area in the world. In addition to being included in the Courchevel ski area, La Tania is the latest addition to the 3 Valleys area, with more than 600km of slopes spread between Courchevel, Meribel, Brides-les-Bains, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Val Thorens and Orelle.

SLOPES:

The ski area takes shape under 150km of slopes distributed between 1100m and 2738 m of altitude:

• 109 total tracks
• 21 green slopes, i.e. 19% of the slopes
• 42 blue runs, i.e. 38% of the runs
• 35 red runs, i.e. 33% of the runs
• 11 black slopes or 10% of the slopes
• Longest track: 9km
• 23ha of night skiing
• 87km of slopes covered with snow cannons

ACTIVITIES

Thanks to its exceptional geographical location, La Tania offers a variety of activities!

WINTER SEASON:

Skiing is of course the essential activity when you go to La Tania in winter. But if you want to experience other activities, dare ski touring which will bring you even closer to nature, make the slalom stadium your own to compete with your friends or colleagues, enjoy the calm of the mountains while cross-country skiing, soar from the peaks and discover the adrenaline of freeride skiing, hang behind a horse and try ski joering…. And don't miss the traditional torchlight descents organized several times a season.

You are not a fan of sliding? There are many other alternatives; snowshoeing, mountaineering, dog sledding, snow-groomer driving, ice climbing, fat bikes and fat scoot, snowmobiling, sledding, ice diving... thrills are guaranteed!

SUMMER SEASON:

Unlike what some may think, ski resorts are not limited to the ski period! Come and discover the flowery pastures, wild streams and shady forests that La Tania offers you in summer. The whole family will be delighted to hike through grandiose landscapes alternating between meadows and steep peaks. Children will be delighted to have fun at the Plan du Vah recreation area, go on a canyoning excursion, a horseback ride, challenge their fear of heights on a via ferrata, a dirt-scoot or mountain bike bike for the more athletic, or even to spend a day at the adventure park or on the golf course. Do you prefer to reach the skies? Treat yourself with a plane flight, a hot-air balloon ride, or go paragliding... There's something for everyone!

Classic or picturesque, the infrastructures available to La Tania and Courchevel are numerous! Each village has its own set of surprises to offer outstanding holidays in Savoie-Mont- Blanc: tree climbing, swimming pool, via ferrata, bowling, ice rink, etc.

Opt for a mountain stay in the heights of the Tarentaise valley. The weather is getting cloudy? Discover the Forum to challenge your balance on the ice rink, try the local bowling alleys or the Aquamotion aquatic center to swim, dive or relax on the swimming-pool, diving boards, water slides or spa area. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from it all, the media library will offer you some great reading time facing the Olympic ski jumps.

Looking for authenticity? You can stroll through the streets of the villages of Courchevel where you will appreciate the Savoyard atmosphere of the last century with chalets and houses showing the traditional architecture; old churches, holiday homes, bread oven and old still. In other areas, you can find very commercial streets with a multitude of shops, high-altitude restaurants or small snack bars, bowling alleys and night clubs.
