In addition to being able to use the lifts* and ride the bikepark, Meribel proposes loads of activities and events for unforgettable mountain memories!

Whether you want to come for active holidays with your family or to rest with your loved-one, you will surely find activites to make the most of your holidays!

THE PROGRAM OF THIS SUMMER 2022 IN MERIBEL

 

JULY

From July 2nd to 4th: Enduro2
MTB event to launch this summer season, Enduro2 is a mountain-bike event's whose motto is "The only time that counts is having a good time". During this event, competitors, teamed-up by 2, will have the occasion to challenge themselves on Meribel's famous Bikepark. A great moment to experience one of Meribel's greatest outdoor activity!

 

From July 9th to 17th: thematic week E-bike experience.

 

July 14th: Bastille day (French national day). 
The firework will be launched from the village of Villaret and followed by a ball in the village of Les Allues. Free shuttles available from/to Meribel. 

 

July 18th to 29th: thematic week "Meribel in the sky".
Look up, that's where it will all happen! Star-gazing, conferences, shows, creative workshops to create your kite, your rocket etc. a fascinating world is to discover during this thematic week!

 

July 29th to August 1st: Alpes Home fair. 
This fair is a great occasion to discover the new trends in terms of decoration, design, architecture and mountain art-de-vivre. You will be able to attend conference about the trends of mountain tourisme as well as apartment rental, get fiscal information etc.

 

AUGUST

 

July 30th to August 12th: thematic week Art and Tradition.
This week will be dedicated to the diverse forms of artistic expression and local tradition. 

 

August 6th and 7th: Fete a Fanfoue. 
For more than half a century, this event gathers tourists and locals for a moment of sharing around the alpine heritage and culture.
The event starts on Saturday evening with the soupe bucheronne (soup dinner) and the ball on the old oven square in Les Allues.
On Sunday, the traditional Christian mass celebration is held in Church Saint Martin in Les Allues, followed by a procession towards Sainte Apollonie's oratory. Then come the convoys of Route des Tommes (path of the tomme cheese) and Route des Glaces (path of the ice) whose members follow the tradition of carrying those elements from the pastures and glaciers down the valley. Many entertainments, exhibitions and sale of local products during this typically Savoyard day in les Allues. Check out what Fete a Fanfoue is in video, right here.

 

August 13th and 14th: Vertical Kilometer (KV) and Meribel Trail.
For trail runners across France, this event, held by Meribel Sport Montagne, is one of the season's highlight and is considered as one of the trail offering the most beautiful settings in the Alps.

 

From August 13th to 16th: Thematic week Zen Altitude.
This week will de dedicated to the well-being; find out how relaxing mountain can be through yoga classes, massages, walks etc.

 

From August 16th to 20th: Meribel Golf Show. 
On Meribel's golf course, in the Altiport area, meet pro golf players and compete with them in a laid-back atmosphere.

 

August 20th and 21th: L'échappée du Col de la Loze (link in French). 
Accompanied by French Tour de France hero Thomas Voeckler, come challenge the now-famous Col de la Loze, discovered during Tour de France 2020 ! 
On Saturday, from Meribel, tour the villages of Tarentaise valley before confronting Col de la Loze during the 67km ride with over 2.500m of positive elevation.
On Sunday, no frills: it is a timed climb to Col de la Loze from Meribel, resulting in a 10km ride with 860m of climb. Breath-taking view during this race to Col de la Loze, recognised as one of the hardest cyclist pass of the Alps !
Electric bike are welcomed but will not be timed.

 

August 24, 25 and 26: Keep your bike out! The Haute Route Alpes 2022, a cyclist race between Nice and Megeve will be stopping in Meribel ! And the stage 4 will be the climax with a start from Les 2 Alpes and an arrival in Meribel, through Col du Glandon and Col de la Madeleine, two mythical passes of Tour de France! Stage 4 will confront the cyclists to a 152km route with over 4.100m of declivity! And on August 25th, it will be a race straigh to Col de la Loze from Meribel that competitors will have to face (10km, 850m D+), right before the penultimate stage, on August 26th, between Meribel and Megeve (138km et 3500m D+).
